My name is Kimberley,
I am a twentysomething girl on her journey from the couch to 5k and beyond.
I got up off the couch in June 2015 and I haven’t looked back since.
I conquered 4 half marathons in 2016, raised money for The Matt Hampson Foundation and I have fallen in love with running and exercise. I have had injuries, but I am going to come back stronger.
I go to lots of exercise classes; Step Aerobics, kettlercise, HIIT, Circuits and Pilates.
This year (2017) I have only got one event planned; a 24hr team event with 4 running friends that I met on Twitter. It will be a completely new experience and I cannot with to be there.
When I started running in June 2015 I weighed 199.7lbs/14st 2.6lbs at the time of updating this page (March 2015) I currently weigh 169.4lbs/12st 10lbs. I have lost 30.3lbs in weight and I feel like a completely different person. I am happy, I have my smile back and I am making huge progress on my journey.
I am not quite sure what the future holds, whether I will be doing many races or not, but I know for sure that I won’t ever be going back to where I was before I started running.
